Who Are We?

Dogrula.org is an independent initiative fighting disinformation and information pollution (infollution) for the public good. Dogrula is a non-profit verification organization affiliated with the Digital Society Research Association, with registration number 34-264-106.

Dogrula.org editors recognize that impartial and transparent fact-checking is an effective tool, and that inaccurate and unfounded fact-checking can create distrust and uncertainty in the public, media and among experts.

Dogrula.org, taking into account primary sources, can investigate and conclude all claims that meet the criteria for claims relevant to citizens.

In this context, when it reaches sufficient data to investigate the accuracy of the information it examines, it matches them with the compatible one of Dogrula.org's result evaluation criteria and turns it into a text to present it to its readers. Throughout this process, the dogrula.org team proceeds by observing the principles of work and impartiality.

Content was also produced and published on behalf of Dogrula.org between 2017 and 2019. The naming rights of Dogrula.org were taken over by the Digital Society Research Association in February 2021. As of this date, the editorial and administrative staff of Dogrula.org, which started its new publishing period, has completely changed. The new staff is not legally and financially responsible for the content, brand value and editorial policy published before the takeover date.
